“Phoenix” was built by the Marine Division of Saunders Roe, in 1934, as a high speed tender to a 1929, Camper & Nicholson’s 178′ Gentleman’s Motor Yacht, “Vita”, which was built for the aviation pioneer “Tommy” Sopwith.
“Phoenix” was restored and professionally rebuilt in the 1990s, faithfully replicating the methods and quality of the original construction. She was kept until 2015, when she was bought by the present owner, when, at significant expense she was comprehensively refurbished and upgraded by Stanley & Thomas. All invoices available for inspection.
Since 2015, “Phoenix” has been wholly maintained by Stanley and Thomas.
Many of “Phoenix’s” original features remain. Her quality instrumentation includes, both speed and depth gauges.
Her full inventory includes touring awnings to both the front and the rear cockpits and two custom built all over cover: heavy weight for winter use and lightweight for summer.
“Phoenix” is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. A full marine survey is invited.
